She was predeceased by: her daughter Lindsay Simmons; her parents, H. C. "Ham" Brundige and Maidelle Turner Brundige; her sister Sandra Robbins; and her niece Kristi Robbins Rezabek.

She is survived by: her son Jay Batson of Martin; her siblings, Randy Brundige and Fran Brundige Smith; and her grandchildren, Trinity Ashmore and Delaney Simmons. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
