He is survived by: his wife Kelly Buchanan; his sons, Nick Buchanan and Rusty Buchanan; his stepson Jefferson Helton; his brother Jeff Buchanan; his close friend Ray Bryant; and his parents-in-law, Benjamin and Sally Helton. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
