He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Spence and Jesse Spence; and his wife Alma Louise Fancher Spence. He is survived by: his son Johnny; his daughter-in-law Amy Spence II of Chugiak, Alaska; his daughter Betty Spence of Maryville; his grandchildren, Louise, John and Will Spence; and his sister Helen Kerr of Maryville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
