He is survived by: his children, Michele Krishnamoorthy (Kris) of Knoxville and Nicholas J. Hard (Jenni Arnold) of Maryville; his grandchildren, Kodie Hard, Karson Hard, Kaylor Hard, Kolby Krishnamoorthy and Kase Krishnamoorthy; and his siblings, Bill Hard of Mt. Olive, IL, Margaret Grosenheider (Bill) of Mt. Olive, IL and Beverly Korunka (Dick) of Fieldon, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
After a battle with covid in November 2020 where he was very much on the verge of death, he said he saw the hands of God reach out to him and say that it wasn't his time yet.
