Kenneth Edgar Byrd Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Edgar Byrd (Maryville, Tennessee), born in Alcoa, Tennessee, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Byrd and Vola Byrd; his wife Betty Coker Byrd; his son Ken Byrd Jr.; and his siblings, Clarence Byrd, Louise Franklin and Imogene King.

He is survived by: his daughters, Karla Kirby (Tom Kirby) of Farragut, TN and Karen Morgan (Reed Morgan) of Louisville, TN; his daughter-in-law Chris Byrd of Clayton, GA; his grandchildren, Ty Kirby of Knoxville, TN, Kendra Lashley of Kennesaw, GA, Krista McIntosh of Knoxville, TN, Kara Stephenson of Goodlettsville, TN, Kameren Todd of Griffin, GA and Kolby Byrd of Clayton, GA; and his sister-in-law Bobbie (Glenn Ramsey) of Maryville. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

They are also following Ken's directive that there be no flowers, tributes, or memorials in his honor.
