He was predeceased by: his grandson Jimmy; and his parents, Stanley Earnest and Bertha Tipton Abbott. He is survived by: his wife Helen Shultz Abbott (Gardner); his granddaughter Shauniece Abbott; his siblings, Malynda Abbott and Judith Hill; his son Steve; and his friends, Philip, Cheryl Parker, Gary, Jacqueline Schlangen, Ruby Schlangen, Ethan Parker, Rick Lambert, Terry, Linda Bray, Glen Arthur, Jerry Hughes and Sheila Gibbs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to the Palliative Care & Hospice Fund of the Blount Memorial Foundation, 907 East Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37804 are recommended.
