He is survived by: his wife Mary Gentry Kitts; his daughters, Debi Tindall (Gerald) and Terri Rose (Pat); his stepson Randy Coulter (Shari); and his grandchildren, Shaun Boling (Janelle), Kayla Dantzler (Dale), Adam Rose (Courtney), Nick Rose, April Lewellyn (Will), Clint Coulter and Chad Coulter. He is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A burial was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel (2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803).
