He was predeceased by: his parents, Lijah Elbridge Hatcher and Lillian Inez Steele; his siblings, Ralph Lindsay Hatcher, Owen Levi Hatcher, Bruce Butler Hatcher and Agnes Elizabeth West; and his wife Edith Carol Hatcher.
He is survived by: his daughters, Monica (Hatcher), Russell (Mark), Heather Lynn Philip, Carol Baker (Hatcher) and Laurie McPeak (Hatcher); his grandchildren, Christopher Steele Stacey, Caroline Eleanor Stacey, Isaac Philip McPeak, Anna Grace Baker and Hope Lynsey McPeak (Lillian Faith Baker); and his sister Martha Sue Hearon.
His compassion extended to supporting others through regular contributions to St. Jude's, the March of Dimes, and St. Joseph's Indian School.
