It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Ruth Headrick Waters (Maryville, Tennessee), who passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James "Wells" Waters; her daughter Alice Louise Waters; her parents, Harvey Headrick and Irene Headrick; and her brothers, Wayne (Rosemary Headrick), Don (Phyliss Headrick), Ray and John Headrick.

She is survived by: her daughter Susan; her son-in-law Scott Emert; her son Andy; her daughter-in-law Salena Waters; her granddaughters, Danielle (Bryce Byerley) and Olivia Emert; her brother Dan; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Headrick of Palmetto, GA; her brother Ervil; her sister-in-law Myra Headrick of Maryville, TN; and her sister Debbie Branton of Maryville, TN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church kitchen fund or Mission Fund.
