He is survived by: his children, Sherry Marlow (Darryl) and Boyd "Buddy" Armstrong (Angela); and his siblings, June Emberton, Ferd Armstrong (Brenda) and David Armstrong.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bridges Funeral Home (5430 Rutledge Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery (5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919).
