Jo-Ann Cipriani Newton Obituary

Jo-Ann Cipriani Newton, age 79, of Mason, TN, passed away peacefully at home after an extended illness on July 21, 2026. Jo-Ann was born on April 12, 1947 in Globe, AZ to Raymond Cipriani and Catherine Tyler Cipriani Ross. She retired from Louis Dreyfuss Commodities after a long career as a bookkeeper. In her retirement, Jo-Ann was an active member of Braden Mason Church. She loved spending time crocheting, scrapbooking, reading and camping with her husband, Colin and their German Shepherd, Missy.

Jo-Ann is survived by her husband of 37 years, Colin Newton, her children, Hugh Crisp (Alicia) and Daniel Crisp (Michelle), her grandchildren, Tyler Crisp, Joel Crisp, Matt Duncan (Ashleigh) and Meagan Carroll (Max), five great grandchildren, her sisters and step brother. A memorial service will be held at Braden Mason Church, 230 Hwy 59, Mason, TN 38049 on September 26, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Braden Mason Church community food pantry, St.Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior or charity of your choice.
