He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Shelton Shope, Jr. and Alva Lee Jones. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Shope Guthery of Maynardville, Paricia Seiffert House of Hawthorne, Florida. and Jim Seiffert of Tavares, Florida.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807).
