He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Atkins and Hester Atkins (Wyrick); his grandparents, Raymond, Paralee Atkins (Beeler), Calday and Francis Wyrick (Pierce); and his niece Beth Ann Holloway.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Atkins (Buck); his children, Anita Effler (Wes), Patty Beaudette (Tom), Everett Atkins (Carmen) and Adam Atkins (Denise); the mothers of children, Carolyn Hartline (Coppock) and Linny Atkins; his grandchildren, April Collins (Adam), Meagan Quarles (Chase), Haley Ballew (Jordan), Taylor Blair (Justin), Caitlyn Brown, Callie Sexton (Logan), Chloe Tipton (Aaron) and Rayce Brown (Emilee); his great grandchildren, Cole Burchell, Ethan Cooper, Taylor, Owen Collins, Harper, Hadley Quarles, Abram, Hank Ballew, Declan, Asher, Kaius, Jonah Blair, Adalyn Collins, Cash, Elliott, Natalie Sexton and Eden Tipton; and his siblings, Brenda Curl (Emmett), Ronnie Atkins (Linda) and Janet Holloway (James Heiskell).
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A procession was held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Cooke-Campbell Mortuary (220 TN-61, Maynardville, TN 37807). A burial was held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Sharp Cemetery (8805 Corryton Luttrell Rd, Luttrell, TN 37779).
