He was predeceased by : his parents, Roscoe Collins and Mossie Collins (Vandergriff); and his siblings, Bootsie Collins, Joe Collins, Harley Collins, Roy Collins, Robert Vandergriff, Gary James Wood, Earl Collins, Geraldine Bailey and Laura Bailey.

He is survived by : his children, Brenda Corum of Luttrell, Roger Lynn Collins, Jr. of Maryville, Michael Dwight Collins (Tiffany) of Knoxville and Gary Earl Collins of Maynardville; and his siblings, Edna Perry and Roscoe "Cotton" Collins. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren.
