With sadness, we share the passing of Wanda Byerley of Maynardville, Tennessee. Wanda, born on April 13, 1933, passed away on October 18, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wanda Byerley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Woods and Vergie Woods; her former husband Everett W. Cox; her son Gregory Allen Cox; her husband Paul Byerley; and her brothers, Clifford Jr., Carl, Gerald, Harold and Steven Woods.
She is survived by: her son Everett Lynn Cox (Ivy); her daughter-in-law Shirley; her brothers, Jim and Paul Woods; her stepdaughters, Lisa, Lori and Paula; her adoptive daughter Darlene Evans; and her friend Mary Wylie. She is also survived by wives and families grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (228 Main St, Maynardville, TN 37807). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:45 PM at the New Loyston Memorial Gardens (Maynardville, TN 37807). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Union County Historical Society and Museum, 3824 Maynardville Hwy., Maynardville, TN 37807, a cause and place near and dear to her heart.
