Cletis Bailey Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2025, at the age of 99, Cletis Bailey of McDonald, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Joyce Bailey; and his daughters, Sharon and Ruth. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Hendrick (Frank), Robert Bailey (Esther), Cletis Bailey Jr. (B. J.) and Mark Bailey (Pat); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike), Melissa David, Chris David (Inga), Brandon Bailey, Jordan Bailey (Ana), Lauren Bailey Thompson (Zach), Jessica Bailey and Eirlys Bailey; and his sister Nancy Bryant (Pete). He is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In recent years he had become active traveling with The Best Defense Foundation, meeting other veterans from around the world.
