He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cross and Eva Cross of Apison, TN; and his brother Donald Cross of McDonald, TN.. He is survived by: his wife Karen Cross (Rakestraw) of McDonald, TN; his children, Michele Lennon of Apison, TN and David; his daughter-in-law Tammy Cross of Cleveland, TN; his adoptive son Alex Rakestraw of McDonald, TN; his brothers, Warren Cross of Chattanooga, TN and Paul Cross of Cleveland, TN; his sister-in-law Wanda Cross (Donald); his grandchildren, Ilyana Lennon, Kevin Cross and Macy Rakestraw; and his stepgrandsons, Father Michael Willey and Matthew Willey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services (220 Wildwood Ave, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
