He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ballew and Gladys Barlew Ballew; his former wife Kay Gregory Ballew; his brother-in-law Harold Kirk; his son-in-law John McGinnis; Linda Ballew Crawford, Ernestine and Christine.
He is survived by: his wife Alise Ballew of McDonald; his children, Pamela Baltsas (John) of Surfside Beach, S. C., Gregory "Greg" Walter Ballew (Brenda) of McDonald, Kerry Ballew of Charleston, S. C. and Jolene Ballew of McDonald; his granddaughter Catherine Ballew; and his sister Virginia Mae "Jo" Kirk of Chattanooga. He is also survived by Several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
