He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Pate and Nell Stewart Pate; his siblings, James "Jim" Pate and Frances Helen Vick; and his grandchildren, Drake Pate and Heaven Williamson.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Kee Pate; his children, Jeremy Pate (Gina) of McKenzie, Joel Pate (Amanda) of McKenzie and Nicole Williamson (Marcus) of Clarksville; his grandchildren, Emma Anderson (Austin), Sydney Pate, Lydia Pate, Sophie Pate, Olivia Pate, Jaden Pate, Willow Pate, Beau Pate, Gavin Hicks, Nevaeh Williamson, Hailee Williamson Zachary Clark and Gracie Clark; and his great grandchildren, Jachsyn and Lily.
In Lieu of flowers the family is asking that memorial be made to Carroll County Humane Society.
