He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Manley Spain and Mary Frances Stewart Spain; his wife Carol Spain; and his brothers, Joe Manley Spain, Bobby Spain (Pat) and Jerry Spain (Linda).
He is survived by: his children, Jared Spain (Reba) of Gleason and Daphne Sowers of Virginia Beach, VA; his stepsons, Kenny Green (Laurie) of Chicago and David Green (Anna) of Chicago; and his siblings, Mary Ruth Suddath of Gleason, Gene Spain (Linda) of Gleason and David Spain of McKenzie. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
