She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Mattie Lee Grooms Story; her husband Paul Everett Barnett; and her brothers, Willie "Bill" Story and Edward Thomas Story.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Morgan (Mark) of Bruceton, Patricia Love (Jimmy) of McKenzie, Michelle Fall of Paris and Michael Barnett (Teresa) of McKenzie; and her sister Betty Jean Story of McKenzie. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home (1740 Cedar St, McKenzie, TN 38201). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
