He was predeceased by : his father Jesse Newton Fitts. He is survived by : his mother Mary Josephine Fitts; his siblings, Jesse R. Fitts (Brenda), Robert Fitts (Betty) and Carol Fitts Woodard; and his nephew Ricky Fitts. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
