He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Lewis Curtis and Menda Louise Howard Curtis; and his siblings, Virginia Baker and Elijah Curtis, II. He is survived by: his siblings, Jean Myers, Edith Dykes (Cordell) and Michael Curtis (Penny); his children, Carl Curtis, II (Kimberly), Tracy Curtis (Silissa) and Tina Kraynak (Mike); his grandchildren, Miranda Stephens (Dustin), Joshua Curtis (Autumn), Aaron Puckett, Matthew Dunn, Madison Curtis, Logan Mills (Kaleb), Courtney Curtis and Alli Lowery (Colby); his great grandchildren, Autumn, Lakelyn Stephens, Cruz, Luna Curtis, Neyland, Rosalie and Carina Mills; and also, Buford, Mufasa, Elvis, Teddy, Leo, Sam and Fitz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Long Cemetery.
