We bid farewell to Collene Crumbley of McMinnville, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 21, 2025 at the age of 92. Collene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenza Woodrow Akers and Mary Maggie Tanner Akers; her former husband Raymond L. Sain; her husband Jesse R. Crumbley; her siblings, John Renza Akers (J. R.), Brenda Gayle Akers and Geri Akers; and her grandchildren, Joshua Raymond Sain and Adiren Melia Neal.
She is survived by: her children, Cherie Benner, Kathi Sain (Becky Hye) and John R. Sain (Melba); her stepchildren, Randy Crumbley, Ronnie Crumbley, Steve Crumbley and Jackie Crumbley Brundige; her siblings, Don Wayne Akers, Dianne McMahan (Wayne) and Pamela Akers; her grandchildren, Sherilyn Steel and Kendra Leigh Cuellar (Joe); her great grandchildren, Kendall Lapczynski, Haley Arnold (Robert), Kendrick Scott, Zhoie Scott, McKenzie Lewis and Charleigh Cuellar; and her great great grandchildren, Erik Arnold, Cooper Arnold and Benjamin Arnold.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the McMinnville Funeral Home (117 Underwood Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel (117 Underwood Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boyd Christian School or to Meals on Wheels in Collene's memory.
