He is survived by: his son Steve Phifer of Chattanooga, TN; his granddaughters, Betsy Jackson (Tim) of Chattanooga, TN and Ginny Whitt (Josh) of Chattanooga, TN; his great grandchildren, Charlie, Danny and Maggie; his siblings, Percy Phifer (Carolyn) of McMinnville, TN and Betty Fergusun of McMinnville; his sisters-in-law, Kathryn Phifer of McMinnville, TN and Janie Phifer of McMinnville, TN; his siblings' children, Jamie Schimenti (Joe), Tammy Phifer, Cindy Phifer, Sally Cantrell, Sherri Leimer, Paul Phifer and Barry Ferguson; his great-niece Darby Leimer; and his close friends, Pete and Mary Ann Blankenship of McMinnville, TN..
The inurnment will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. View Cemetery (209 Mountain St, McMinnville, TN 37110).
