She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Cox and Pearl Bowman Cox; and her brothers, Ronnie Cox and Luther Cox, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James David "Jim" Witt of Mt. Vernon, KY; her children, James "David" Witt, Jr. (Jennifer Presnell) of Asheboro, NC and Robyn Kirby (Michael) of McMinnville; her grandchildren, Emma Jane Kirby of McMinnville and Jackson Andrew Kirby of McMinnville; and her sisters, Ann Johnson of Trenton, OH and Judy Haston (Jimmy) of McMinnville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. View Cemetery (209 Mountain St, McMinnville, TN 37110).
