She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton King and Rosa Lee King; her siblings, Patsy Nelson, Lottie King, Dewey King, James King and Elb King; and her grandson Trenton Eugene Hampton.

She is survived by: her husband Dennis Hampton of McMinnville; her children, Tammy Comfort of Harrison Ferry, Greg Hampton (Kathy) of Harrison Ferry and Newton Hampton of McMinnville; her grandchildren, Kyle Comfort (Tammy) of Harrison Ferry, Eric Comfort of McMinnville and Nicole Hampton of Grundy County; her great grandchildren, Kayden Brook, Bryson Kade, Kylie Faith, Maddie Grace, Alice Lashay, Alaya Jade, Trenton Owen, Autumn Rose, Sophie Jewel and Clayton Eugene; and her siblings, Isabel Wanamaker and Lonnie Joe King. She is also survived by her family, from her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Janie's memory to assist the family with funeral expenses.
