She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff Mears and Ollie Durham Mears; and her siblings, Daisy Bailey, Big James Mears, Carmen Mears, Thomas Mears, Sr., Joyce Davis, Charlie Mears, Edna Young, Margaret Tramel, Anita Reed and Aubrey Mears.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tanya Gaither (Clint) of Readyville and Christina Forgey of Murfreesboro; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Stacey (Austin), Kenzlie Gaither, Lexi Earls and Skylar Earls; her great grandchildren, Cory and Stella Stacey; and her siblings, Myrtle Cox, Roberta Collins, Maggie Lance, John Mears (Valerie), George Mears and Treva Hutchins (Paul). She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Even in her passing, she gave of herself through organ and tissue donation, leaving a legacy of hope and healing for others.
