He was predeceased by: his parents, A. L. Phillips and Mildred Phillips; his daughter Allison Lynn Brewer; his son-in-law Jason Tyler Brewer; his parents-in-law, W. L. and Christine Cooper; and his brother-in-law Gary Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Phillips of McMinnville; his son Steven Phillips (Kim) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Joshua Wanamaker (Mary) and Garridan Brewer (Samantha); his great grandchild Althea Wanamaker; his sister Susie Taylor (Chuck) of McMinnville; his niece Hannah Taylor of Nashville, TN; and his sister-in-law Lisa Clanton (Chuck) of Morristown, TN. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
