He was predeceased by: his sister Leah Lynn Grissom. He is survived by: his parents, Joe Lynn and Martha Frances Turner Grissom; his children, Slade Grissom (Heather) of McMinnville, TN, Kade Grissom of McMinnville, TN and Whitley Grissom of Morrison, TN; his grandchildren, Kadence Grissom, Kerrigan Grissom, Killian King, Everly Grissom, Kaos King and Madelyn Trapp; and his sisters, Candy Milstead (Russell) and April McKinley (Ray) of McMinnville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Smyrna Church of Christ (552 Myers Cove Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110).
