He was predeceased by: his father Jewell Wayne Barkes; and his grandparents, Speed, Dessie Barkes and Tenia Ma Northcutt. He is survived by: his mother Debra Northcutt Barkes of McMinnville; his sisters, April Barnes (Bill) of Spencer, LaKeisha Tobitt (Cory) of Morrison, LaShay Johnson of McMinnville and Summer Ward (Briar) of McMinnville; his siblings' children, Jaylyn, Zach Blaylock, Carly, Mallory Tobitt, Emery, Thatcher Johnson and Harper Ward; his great-niece Evrett; his great-nephew Wrenley Blaylock; and his godson Bruce Wayne Thompson. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Calendar High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Calendar Mt. Zion Cemetery (1635 Mt Zion Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110).
