He is survived by: his wife Sally Vaughan Blanton; his children, Jeff Blanton (Ana) of Murfreesboro, TN, Melissa Miller of Whitsett, NC and Jason Blanton (Mary) of Spring Creek, TN; his grandchildren, Emily Blanton, Taylor Blanton (Contessa), Tyler Blanton (Brittany), Jaden Blanton, Zaina Blanton, Lauren Rabbitt (Christian) and Rachel Miller; and his great grandchild Raegan Blanton.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Arrington Funeral Directors and Crematory (148 W University Pkwy, Jackson, TN 38305). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
