He is survived by: his daughter Nina Carter; his grandson Orion Carter; his siblings, James Carter Jr., Juanita James (Luther), Cora Coulter, Joanna Robinson and Jonathan; his siblings-in-law, Mary Hurd, Elder Jack Jackson, Samuel Jackson (Shirley), Dortha Hall (Odell), Bishop Thomas, Sarah Johnson, Elder Donald Jackson (Phyllis) and Minister Myner Jackson (Felicia); his significant other Elvira Carter; his stepsons, Dewayne Rogers (Cherrisa), Delvit Rogers (Vanessa) and Degory Rogers (Daniela); his grandchildren, Gyderious, Gyrani, Alana, De'Audria, Darnell, Melia of Orion, DJ and Ivy; his great grandchild Egypt; James Carter Sr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and friends.
