We bid farewell to Allan Prentiss Bowden Sr. of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Columbus, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 23, 2025 at the age of 79. Allan Prentiss touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeannette Winn Bowden and Warner Hill Bowden; his sister Susan Bowden Taylor; and his granddaughter Susannah Lynn Bowden. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hokanson Bowden; his sons, Allan Prentiss Bowden Jr. (Lisa Bowden), Andrew Paul Bowden and Matthew Benjamin Bowden (Emily Bowden); his grandchildren, Allan Prentiss Bowden III, Bailey Bowden, Lainey Bowden, Charlie Bowden, Grant Bowden, Annabelle Bowden and Elizabeth Bowden; his brothers-in-law, Alan Hokanson (Mary Anne Hokanson) and Donald Paul Hokanson; and his nephews, Wesley Alan Hokanson (Rachel Hokanson) and Justin Hokanson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM.
