He was predeceased by: his parents, Ester Hurt Sr. and Benatha Smith Hurt; his siblings, Albert Hurt, Willie Hurt, Pearlie Hurt and Bernice Hurt; and his granddaughter Marnicia Trenell Kelly.
He is survived by: his son Terrence Payne (Faith); his brother Ester L. Hurt, Jr.; his friend Kathy Ragsdale; his stepsons, James Earl Polk (Mary) of Memphis, TN and Lewis Dandridge of Memphis, TN; and his grandchildren, Terrence, Terry, Darius, Tyrek, Robert, Jerrell, Niasia, Terrika and Sha'tericka. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, family, friends.
