We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2023, at the age of 85, Betty Jane Smith of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Itta Bena, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Steen and Eva Steen; and her brother Garon Steen (Margaret). She is survived by: her nephews, Dwayne Steen and Gary Steen; her son Robert B. Smith (Kathlene); her granddaughter Mary Nicole Smith; and her nieces, Karon Steen and Brenda Steen.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be sent to the family during this time to help with any funeral expenses.
