He was predeceased by: his wife Hermie Morgan Dowty; and his sister Hazel Huffman (Herbie). He is survived by: his children, Alice White (Pat) and Dan Dowty (LeAnn); and his siblings, David Dowty (Peggy), Gladys Wilhite (Larry) and Gracie McAlister (Clint). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Moscow Wesleyan Methodist Church in Moscow, TN.
