He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude E. Bynum, Sr. and Julia Bryant-Bynum; his wife Geraldine Ruth Gipson Bynum; and his brother Mark Edward Bynum. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Charlotte, Stephani, Carlton, Claude, Monica, Gerald, Michelle and Paula; and his sister Mabel Bynum Burton of Memphis, Tennessee.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
