It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claudia Powers Phillipy of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Batesville, Mississippi, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin A. Phillipy. She is survived by: her children, Allyson Phillipy Ticer, Blake Phillipy (Jill) and Craig Phillipy (Amy); her grandchildren, Carter Phillipy, Camille Phillipy and Maggie Claire Phillipy; and her siblings, Marilyn Johnson (Stan) and Alvin Powers (Janet). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 2404 Kirby Road, Memphis, TN 38119.
