He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dowdy and Bernadette Dowdy; and his sister Patricia Dowdy. He is survived by: his wife Amy Dowdy; his daughter Victoria Dowdy; his siblings, Mary Tuthill, Terry Dowdy and Donna Cox; and his siblings-in-law, Cynthia Reed and Greg Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis, TN 38125).
