He was predeceased by: his parents, Gloria M. Dennis and Elvis Moffett. He is survived by: his wife Narkeisha; his sons, Melvin Evans, Derrick P. Moffett, Jr., Derrion N. Moffett, Sir Iyzak Charles Ray and Maxwell Carter Jones; his siblings, Willie James Ingram Jr., Marquetta Ingram and Miracle Moffett; and his aunts and uncles, Lucille Boyce (Albert), Emma, George Dennis, Jr. and Tracy Winfrey, Sr.. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
