He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtis Young Harris and William Harris; and his brothers, William A Harris Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee. and Harmon Edward Harris of Memphis, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his wife Jessie A. Harris; his sons, Donald S. Harris (Brenda) of Memphis and Joseph K. Harris (Angie) of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Emily Harris Stolnicki (Andrew), Jeremy D. Harris (Kimberly), Jess M. Harris (Megan) and Grace Harris Lancaster (Eli). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
