It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Ray Mitchell of Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on April 12, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wade Mitchell and Sadie Ray Henson Mitchell; and his brothers, William Edward Mitchell and Lloyd Thomas Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Tinker Mitchell of Collierville, Tennessee.; his daughter Donna Mitchell Garrison (Greg) of Myrtle, Mississippi.; his grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Garrison of Myrtle, Mississippi. and Rachel Leah Garrison of Myrtle, Mississippi.; and his siblings, Virgil Mitchell of Henderson, Fred Mitchell (Peggy) of Savannah, Tennessee. and Jeannetta Riley of Lexington, Kentucky.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
