With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George C. Wilburn Jr. (Memphis, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Ruthie Wilburn; and his daughter Jocelyn Tunstall. He is survived by: his siblings, Ruby Wilburn, Robert Wilburn and Ernest Wilburn; his wife Evelina Wilburn; his daughters, Julie Whitney (Marlon) and Tamara "Tika" Odle (Chris); his grandchildren, Juanna Warren, Jimmie Rainey (Hannah), Johnathan Rainey, Marlyn "Coko" Whitney, Braxton Odle, Kayson Mays and Isaiah Bryant; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Warren, Naomi Warren, Rebekah Rainey and Josiah Rainey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served with Protek Security, where he became a beloved presence at Rendezvous BBQ, banks, movie theaters, and football games.
