George Burkhardt Ellis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Burkhardt Ellis of Memphis, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Jimbo. He is survived by: his wife Julie Huston Ellis; his sister-in-law Melissa Huston; his sibling's children, Kelly (Kathy), Barclay (Scott), Billy (Kelly) and Patton (Larry); and his great grandchildren, Katya, Alicia, Heather, Chase, Palmer, Ellie, Harbour, Dylan, Kirkwood, Ellis and Tucker. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Communion (4645 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, TN 38117). A reception will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Church of the Holy Communion, Hutchison School, or Memphis University School which were proudly supported by George Ellis.
