He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howell and Josephine Garner (Joyce Lee Eilert); his sister Marie Denman; and his daughter-in-law Johanna Broeker Garner. He is survived by: his son Matt; his grandson Maddie; his children, Madison Garner of Memphis, Tennessee, Gaye Keller (John) of Piperton, Tennessee, Jan Tisdal (Paul) of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Christopher Garner (Glenda) of Memphis, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Andrew Staples (Tracey) of Collierville, Tennessee, Beau Staples (Courtney) of Collierville, Tennessee, Melissa Davis of Arkansas, Seth Keller (Jodi) of Memphis, Tennessee, Chad Keller of Memphis, Tennessee, Bo Tisdal (Laura) of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Taylor Moen (TJ) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Louisa Simmons (Zachary) of Camden, Mississippi and Coleman Garner of Washington; and his great grandchildren, Landon Tisdal, Garner Tisdal, Bella Salinas, Dominic Staples, Lucas Staples, Cora Staples, Alex Davis, Merrick Moen and Russell Moen.
