He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Karen, Gilbert Jr. and Shari; his grandchildren, Shawn, Sabrina, Stephanie and Marc; his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ashlyn, Kaylie, Evan, Colton and Kylie; and his sister Cindy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
His contribution to such an iconic structure will forever be remembered.
