He is survived by : his children, Cynthia Brandon (Gil) and Harlon Walker (Janie); and his grandchildren, Gil Brandon (Jennifer), Michelle Peterson (Jamie), Erica Taylor (Chip), Joshua Walker (Jessica), Rebekah Metzinger (Thor) and Israel Walker (Kathryn). He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.

“Condolences to the family. I did not know Jack but his son Harlan and wife Janie ministered to this poor sailor at Southside Baptist Church 1982 and 1983. I got saved at that church. And to this day have many of their songs locked away in my heart …we never know how we are connected and affect the lives of those we never met through family and friends.”
