He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Barton and Hattie Barton; his siblings, Carlene Lawrence Barton, Nellie Barton and Buddy Barton; and his nephew Lyle Goforth.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Dunagan Barton; his sons, Carl Wayne Barton and Michael W. Barton; and his grandchildren, John Barton, Patrick Barton, Loic and Piper Barton.
