He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lynwood Blackmond and Willie Coleman Blackmond; and his spouse Corlass Dye Blackmond.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rs Lewis & Sons (3651 Austin Peay Hwy, Memphis, TN 38128). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Paul Baptist Church (1543 Brookins St, Memphis, TN 38108).
